The vision of ECR is to multiply the kingdom by sharing the gospel, and to disciple individuals to grow in their relationship with Christ. Equally as important is to build relationships and equip those in Vietnam and Cambodia by maximizing their abilities and skills, in order that they can provide for the needs of their family.
Ministry to the Blind
Scholarships to the children of the blind
In Vietnam the blind families have no sustainable income to provide for their family. They barely meet the basic needs of food and shelter by selling lottery tickets and begging on the street. These parents desperately want to send their children to school so that their children will have a better life. ECR is able to help by sharing school costs.
Distribution of Audio Bibles and Braille Bibles to the blind
Books are distributed to the blind so that they may hear and read the Word. Many are coming to know the one true God. One man shared, “I knew my circumstances would never change here on earth, but my heart did.” ECR provides help by sharing the costs of materials.
Scholarships to college students
This financial assistance is applied directly to their tuition and fees, enabling them to pursue degree programs in local universities. This is overseen by a Vietnamese national who interviews all applicants; processes applications; verifies enrollment in a valid degree program, makes the cash awards prior to the beginning of the school year, and conducts personal follow up with each student throughout the year.
Elementary School Children
Many elementary school children are unable to attend class because they live too far away from school to get there in time, and get back home in time for their work or chores. A simple bicycle solves that problem. We also help with basic school supplies including a basic tablet and pencil. Many families cannot afford this most basic item, and we provide marble tablets and pencils to children in rural areas.
Orphan & Street Children of Vietnam
The church and Christian families are encouraged to take an active roll in this great need by bringing neglected children into their homes as an alternative to the children living on the street or in government orphanages. In this family model, the children are brought into the home where not only are their basic needs of food and clothing met, but also their emotional and spiritual needs in a loving, secure environment.
ECR will come beside these families and help meet their extra expense needs from time to time.
Church Care Ministry
ECR would like to assist churches with study materials, commentaries, and video kits that are now available in Vietnamese. Church training is a huge need in some of the rural areas where many have never heard the name of Jesus.

Working with Vietnam Refugees in Cambodia
These Vietnamese refugees are not recognized as citizens of Cambodia and have no papers, and cannot return to Vietnam. Many live in extreme poverty in “floating villages” or in the slums in town. It is in Cambodia that we find the sex trafficking of children, who are prostituted by their parents. ECR is planning to continue the good work we are doing in this area.
